mpg on my Saab 93 Aero 2004 manual?
I am with an average of 21.4 mpg. This is much lower than what I read and more must be achieved lower than when I bought the dealership. I readily admit that the cause is my driving. I used to drive a car not by a tachometer then just change the feeling, but when the figures were not looking to good, I decided to try change when I arrived at 3 in the tachometer. I thought it was the most fuel-efficient driving. Then I read that was better to change only at a speed as quickly as possible, less than 3, but does not seem to make a difference either. How can I get the economy more fuel (mpg) in my car? I'm looking preferably listen Saab drivers, but all are welcome!
To clarify how calculate fuel consumption? Starting with the display or method of calculation? This one is easy and I think this is a more realistic figure. Just complete and return the odometer. The next time you meet again to look at the mileage clock and divide by the gallons purchased. To do this, some and once you start to feel good miles per tank of gasoline. It also helps to resolve problems should start to see a certain trend gas consumption. Meeting change to 3000 rpm too high for a turbo Saab. You can enjoy the charm of the car, but with a price: the gas. With these cars pulling power is achieved fairly low in power band. Often, a driver's license from 9-3, and 9000 have I changed most of the arts around 2000 revolutions and the shutter speed very well. If all city driving with frequent stops, jams and lots of changes to down and then your mileage will undoubtedly suffer. Remember that every time the car is not moving, the consumption of raw gas mileage to compensate. I found that even the warming of the car in the morning for 5-10 minutes a day with mostly highway mileage greatly affects my miles per tank full. This is in addition to all already posted above, a vehicle maintenance. Enjoy;)
